Hurricane Sports – Warranty Terms and Conditions

Cricket Bat Warranty: 

We provide a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects for all Hurricane Sports branded bats, effective from the date of purchase. To file a warranty claim, please present proof of purchase and ensure compliance with Hurricane Sports' care guidelines.  We may ask you to provide photos as evidence of any possible warranty claims. Note that warranties are non-transferable.

Exclusions from Warranty Coverage:

• Overuse      with Bowling Machines
• Water      Damage to Toe or Blade
• Cracks      from Miss-hits or Mistimed Shots
• Improper      Preparation
• Heat      or Dry Damage
• Damage      from Inexpensive/Hard Balls
• Excessive      Wear and Tear Reducing Lifespan

Details on Damage Exclusions:

• Overuse with Bowling Machines:     Frequent use with bowling machines can damage bats and handles. We advise      using an older bat for this purpose. Signs of such use will void the      warranty.
• Water Damage: Playing on damp surfaces can cause the      toe of the bat to absorb moisture, leading to splits and further damage.
• Mistimed Shots: Leading edges, shoulder hits, or      aggressive shots on Yorkers can cause cracks or splits. Heavy mistimed      shots can twist the bat, causing pressure damage to the handle and      shoulders.
• Improper Preparation: Failure to oil or knock in the bat can      lead to drying out and cracking. Applying a scuff sheet is highly      recommended.
• Heat or Dry Damage: Avoid storing bats in cars or exposing      them to extreme temperatures, as this can cause the bat to dry out and      crack. Store in a cool, dry place and oil the bat at the start of each      season to maintain moisture.
• Excessive Wear and Tear: The warranty period is based on usage.      Bats showing excessive wear may have a reduced warranty period.

If your bat is damaged, return it promptly to the retailer for evaluation. Minor repairs can often be handled easily. Unattended damage beyond repair may be considered neglect. Non-warrantable repairs will be managed by a Hurricane Sports-approved repairer at the client’s expense.

Cricket Soft goods & Bag Warranty: All soft goods and bags are guaranteed against workmanship defects for 90 days under normal conditions. This warranty does not cover general wear and tear within the 90-day period. Proof of purchase is required.

Terms & Conditions of Purchase:

• Handmade Bats: Each bat is handmade from natural      materials, so minor variations in shape and size are normal. Customised      bats involve some degree of interpretation unless the customer is present      during the making process. We do not guarantee "pick-up" feel      without customer presence.
• Bat Weights: Due to the hygroscopic nature of wood,      bat weights may fluctuate with atmospheric conditions.
• Bat Lifespan: The lifespan is based on ball impacts      rather than time owned. A bat used more frequently will wear out faster.
• Shipping Rates: Shipping rates at checkout are based on      average prices from common providers and may vary. We reserve the right to      select the shipping service and change our shipping rates accordingly.

· Refunds: May be subject to a restocking fee if free shipping was provided. Hurricane Sports reserves the right to recoup all associated fees and charges.

• Customised Equipment: Customised items may not be eligible for      refunds due to their unique specifications. All returns will be      re-evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
